Genuine Shop 衝浪生活館結合德國百年工藝的 Feuerhand 煤油燈，舉辦《Christmas Lantern
Exhibition》，邀請五位台灣及日本的藝術家重製油燈，藉此推廣藝術品貼近生活，其中包含參與過 Pow!Wow!Taiwan 展出的
Colasa、Mr.Ogay、Reach 與來自日本的衝浪藝術家 Hi-Dutch、插畫家 Yusuke Hanai。自12月 18 至 24
日，展售各藝術家作品，點亮藝術與生活家飾結合的火花。
提起「藝術品」，你會想到什麼？名畫、雕塑品還是天價的骨董？ 一直以來，所謂的「藝術品」，總被聯想到價高驚人的藝術創作，成了一般消費者難得觸及的商品。此次 Upstairs Genuine Shop 希望藉著邀請五位藝術家重新創作 Feuerhand 的煤油燈，結合日常媒材加工，為此展訂下了特別的價格，將藝術帶入人們的收藏視野。 複合式優質生活概念店 Upstairs Genuine Shop 與其說是一間商店，不如形容是一間有品味的海邊小屋來得更為貼切，所以依著店內居家陳設，為展覽創下新形態的陳設模式。同時因應聖誕節將至，伴隨著越重創 意的送禮習慣，更希望藉由煤油燈的火光，呼應聖誕節溫暖、幸福的意象，成為聖誕禮物的新創意選擇，將這份溫馨在佳節中贈送給親友，做為聖誕節裡別具代表性 的禮物！

He is constantly challenging the limit of morality though his works, and abnormality to present the melancholy of his inner soul. In addition to his stencils graffiti, Colasa also continuously experiences with new materials and substances to enhance the completion of his works. Having studied art since childhood, Colasa insists on the defiance of traditional art forms and adopts a rather unconventional creative method-graffiti. With his very own unique style and Chinese ink inspired techniques, Colasa is making a name for himself in the international arena! Colasa was born in Taiwan and majored in art related fields through out his academic career. After graduating from high school, Colasa fell in love with skateboarding and graffiti. At the time, street culture or subculture was still very new to Taiwan, and so he had to look towards the internet to find anything related graffiti art. After university, Colasa found a job working in a tattoo parlour and has continued to master his craft as a professional artist ever since. “When I started doing stencil graffiti, I was experimenting with a variety of different colors. However I’ve naturally gravitated towards using just black and white. I guess it’s sort of my way to showcase my own unique style. Audiences tend to think that my work is very dark and full of violence, but what I truly want to express is actually the lightness after dark.” In the past, Colasa’s work tends to focus on technique and objective meaning. However, he now tries to bring excitement to his work and sees his pieces as coming truly from the heart Colasa’s impressive resume includes collaborations and exhibitions with the NIKE, CONVERSE, Heineken, NIXON, Espionage Gallery in Australia, Eslite Bookstore, MOCA Taipei, TBA Magazine, WELLA, PROTON, TAIPEI 101, agnès b, and adidas. |

Rd., Zhongshan Dist., Taipei City 104, Taiwan 營業時間// Tue-Sun 1pm - 8:30pm 聯絡電話// (02)2563-3151 「世上很多事物不是非黑即白，因此有了灰。」-COLASA 在藝術家COLASA 的世界觀裡，「世界」是如此地具體，卻又充滿模糊地帶。從社會的分層結構、各式產業的異中存同、社會賦予的價值觀，到「藝術圈」之「圈內」與「圈外」，都 有既定的「規則」與「印象」。打破這樣既定印象的藩籬，創造一種中立、隱晦而曖昧的感覺，正是藝術家希望帶來新的感受的「灰」。 其作品中散發一種冷冽與激情，狂野與精緻，像是下雨可以傾盆，但所組成的雨絲卻是細密並能帶清爽與洗淨。作品色彩透過闇黑與純白,層層堆疊出斑駁而不拘的抑鬱氛圍在撲朔迷離中卻又那樣深刻地存在著。 The most things in the world are not straight black or straight white, hence the gray area comes. In artist COLASA's point of view, world is a concrete tangible place with a lot of gray areas. From the social structure in this world, the social values defined and given by this world, the homogeneity and the heterogeneity in different industries, to the "outsiders" and "insiders" agreed silently in art arena, the de facto conventions exist everywhere. To break these stereotypical rules and conventions, the artist outlines the idea of a gray area that is novel, neutral and carries a sophisticated ambiguity. In this gray area, people are free to rethink and re-feel. The artwork of the show "In that raining GRAY" exude coldness and passion, wildness and sophistication. By skillfully smearing and daubing the pretty and complete objects on canvases and wood boards, artists presents a sense of being transient, yet there's a undertone lingers, which sets a gray area where imagination and thinkings flow, COLASA uses the metaphor of "rain" to symbolize his idea: "It's like we all need a pouring rain to clean up our minds and views.
